New York based designer Payal Luthra combines modern aesthetics with centuries-old textile manufacturing methods to deliver a collection of luxury cashmere neckwear.
Grounded in an architectural methodology she acquired at the Harvard Graduate School of Design, Payal’s work draws inspiration from the structural qualities of materials, and aims to be both progressive and enduring.
On sale in both the U.S. and India, Payal’s line reflects her design background and her Indian ancestry. She situates her designs on the edges, fusing opposites that complement each other. Her versatile forms inhabit the rare spaces between modern and traditional, East and West, structure and fluidity, and even clothing and jewelry.
She has been featured in Harper’s Bazaar, Cosmopolitan, Refinery 29, Thrillist, and FabSugar, amongst other publications.
