HANGR 16 is a Mission boutique carrying lines from local designers as well as fashion innovators from around the world. We have the largest selection of t-shirts in San Francisco (over 100 designs), as well as wovens, accessories, outerwear and other standout pieces for guys and gals. Our Mission: bring a fast turning selection of the best apparel to a neighborhood boutique.

The name HANGR 16 comes from a combination of our location, our mission and our product. The space reminded us of an aircraft hangar, a long, symmetrical rectangle. Additionally we have a fast turn approach to fashion, much like the arriving and departing of flights. So that gave us “hangar.” We sell clothes which gave us “hanger.” Well we couldn’t decide so we dropped the difference! We also wanted to give a shout-out to our roots in the Mission so added the 16 for “16th St.” Now we have HANGR 16. Born and bred in the Mission, for the Mission.
